Mavericks owner says Kidd will stay in Dallas

<div><p>Jason Kidd has agreed to a three-year National Basketball Association contract worth more than 25 million dollars to stay with the Dallas Mavericks, team owner Mark Cuban said Monday.</p><p>The deal will keep the 37-year-old point guard with the Mavericks and could see him finish his NBA career with the same club that he began in the league with back in 1994.</p><p>No deals can be completed until Wednesday under league rules even though the NBA free agent negotiation period began last week.</p><p>Kidd became a star with the New Jersey Nets, helping the club reach the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003, but was traded to the Mavericks 17 months ago in hopes of reinvigorating a team that made the 2006 NBA Finals, but the Mavericks struggled just to reach the NBA playoffs this past season.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=54390113&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
